Chasing the Dream: Dr. Patrick Staropoli Takes a Temporary Leave to Pursue NASCAR
Dr. Patrick Staropoli, one of our exceptional retina specialists, is temporarily leaving Retina Consultants of Texas to compete in this year’s NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, pursuing a championship through a full 33-race schedule.
Dr. Staropoli’s last day at the clinic is January 16, with plans to return to Retina Consultants of Texas in November 2026. While he’s incredibly grateful for this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity, he remains committed to our practice and caring for his patients.
The physician partners at Retina Consultants of Texas will continue to provide world-class retinal care to Dr. Staropoli’s patients during his temporary leave. He will stay in contact with the team and is happy to review any cases or questions that arise.
